I use it to keep my mouth closed while attached to my
sleep apnea machine (its proper purpose as another
reviewer has noted).
It survives machine washing (on delicate), once every week or so,
and hang dry (I just lay it out on my bed to let it dry).
After about four months it stretched out almost to where the velcro
is no longer in the right place to give me the tension I need.
I ordered a second one so when the first one no longer works
I don't have to suffer from lack of sleep for a few nights.
It occurs to me that two of them together would probably give me
all the tension I need with a much longer life since they will
each be doing half the work if I adjust them properly.
Price is great, so is Amazon prime. :-)
For less money you get a good anti snore helper. Compared to the nasal strips I ve used before its more hygienic and reusable. I'm fed up with always buying new strips. Takes a little time to get used to but these little plastic pins enhance my breathing enormous. Just rinse them in the morning and they are ready..
I have flat, no air flow nostrils, I have found a much cheaper option. Just go to the store and go to the baby section. Buy a pack of bottle nipples (they have different neck sizes pick one that fits you). Take them home, cut the top part off, cut off the base leaving just the neck of the bottle nipple. Then just cut to adjust to fit your nostril. I recommend rounding the edges off for comfort sake. Works great, and if you lose one or a dozen, your not out but a buck or two, just make more. Honestly I didn't buy the nasal inserts this review is for, I couldn't see spending the or more for something I would probably lose, so I found a solution myself. But I lived for so long without a solution, once I found one I had to share it with those around the world suffering with the same thing. So try the bottle nipple, if it doesn't work, by this product, I'm sure it is good. Either way best of luck. P.S. At least the first three reviews on this product are EXACTLY the same on almost every website I have looked at for this partucular product, so they are obviously fake, which kind of made me distrust the rest of the reviews. Anyway, take it as you will.

After having a lot of trouble at night with my girlfriend because of my snoring I start to use the Nasal Strips. They work fine for me for at least 4 weeks. But there are some disadvantages why I no longer use them. The first thing is that you have to place the strip very very accurate to get a good breath effect. The second thing is the kind of pain by detaching the strips. The third thing are the costs for always buying new strips. But the most disadvantage for me is that you look very dumb when you are wearing the Nasal Strip. Since this time I used the so called "Snore Stopper" buying from Amazon. Its one little silicon spiral which you can put in your nose during nighttime. They are far ahead in enhancing your breathe at night. You wear them inside your nares and so they look much more unobtrusive. You only pay once and can use them for years. You also can put them in a dishwasher for cleaning. In every pack there are 2 snore stops. So I leave one at my girlfriends home and one at my home. My girlfriend say that the strips was good but the Snore Stop are a dream.. So my sleep at night is much better for me and finally these little piece had been saving my relationship with the love of my life. Sorry for my bad english...
It works!
I was told that sometimes I snored, and I frequently woke up with a very dry mouth, mainly due to some medications I take. I also use 24-hour oxygen, which means that when my mouth falls open while sleeping, my oxygen intake drops significantly.
I looked at a number of chin straps, and decided on this one because the wider band seemed to offer more comfort while keeping my mouth closed. It works very well, and I can even put it on in the dark so I don't have to disturb others by turning on a light. (Sometimes I have forgotten to use it before turning out the lights.) It wraps easily, with a wide hook-and-loop closure, making it completely adjustable, and comes with two additional straps to anchor it in place.
It has helped considerably with my dry mouth problem, and no one is complaining that I snore anymore. And, who knows? Maybe it will help get rid of my double chin!
Seriously, I do recommend it highly.
I have been using this as a stand alone sleep aid for about 3 months now. The first 2 nights were difficult when trying to sleep with this on. I have slept with my mouth open my entire life and never got used to breathing through my nose.
The first night I tried using this, right at the point that I was falling asleep I would start snoring and would wake up. I had it on for about 45 minutes then had to take it off. The 2nd night I was able to extend it to about 1 hour but then had to take it off. From the 3rd night on, I got used it and have been sleeping like a baby ever since (so has my girlfriend!). There are some days when I wake up and find the chin strap laying on the floor, but the strap stays on 99% of the time and I get a good nights sleep.
The only downside to using this strap is that you wake up with marks on your face and they take about an hour to go away.
The steps to mold the mouth-piece are very easy to follow, and once done, it forms the mouth-piece perfectly to your teeth. It will take a few wearings before one gets comfortable with it for the majority of the night. I prefer to start-out wearing it, then remove later in the night. You will tend to salivate more than normal, but once used to it, it is a non issue....cleaning is very simple, and I would recommend this product for those who have not looked into a device for stopping bothersome snoring.
Everybody is different, and this may not work for everyone, but I have completely stopped snoring since I started wearing it. Considering the low cost, I'd recommend giving it try. It takes a few days to get used to. It will occasionally slip off at night, but that's not a big deal, any sleeping aid is bound to do the same from time to time. Other reviewers have mentioned it making their jaw sore...but that's if you wear it too tight. I suggest for starters, wear it loosely, and tighten it a little bit each night until you find your comfort zone - a compromise between over tightening or too loose to stay on. I used to snore so bad it woke myself up, and now I sleep soundly most the nights.
I am a 56 yr old woman who was having problems with a very dry mouth that interrupted my sleep when I used my CPAP machine. I had "invented" a chin strap from an old ace bandage before investing in a real chin strap. This invention helped but would not stay in place all night long. The SP Medical Adjustable CPAP Chin Strap looked like the best offer for the price. The design led me to believe that it would stay in place and do the job all night long and it did. I would recommend that anyone who opens his or her mouth during CPAP use and has problems with dry mouth, should try this product. 95% of my dry mouth problem is solved when I wear it and it helps with my compliance with using my CPAP, so my dr. is happy. Sweet Dreams!
